Bryan’s past has made him the strong and confident person he is today. His life has had its fair share of struggles. He encountered the daily discrimination from his peers because they considered him “different.” Growing up he found himself shy and struggled with his weight. Bryan combated his anxiety and shyness by taking a speech and debate class in high school. The experience changed Bryan’s life. The shyness and anxiety was gone and a star was born. He was driven to make life changes to accomplish his goals.

Bryan was blessed to have his mother as his best friend and his biggest fan. On October 11, 2026 his mother suddenly passed away. The pain was immediate and overwhelming and was the hardest tragedy he ever had to face. It was through his friends and those close to him that he was able to deal with the difficult loss and continue standing and performing. Bryan knew it was time and with his mother as his motivation he lost the weight.

Today Bryan, known as Shannel, is an expert in the art of make-up and female impersonation. He has had the opportunity to perform in cities across the United States and around the world. Shannel is a world class performer and her impersonations and over the top performances have been leaving audiences in awe and on their feet. Shannel took her place as a pop culture icon when she appeared on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Shannel is grateful for the love and support from so many fans. She finds it a privilege to create smiles and laughter while striving for excellence, equality and the end of discrimination.
