Higher educational institutions have become more aware and committed to ending the discrimination endured by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) members on their campus. Today, diversity is an everyday part of campus life and yet differences continue to divide college students.

According to Campus Pride's State of Higher Education for LGBT People Report more than one-third of LGBT undergraduate students reported experiencing harassment, while 79% of those harassed identified peers as the source of the bullying. LGBT students have expressed fear for their physical safety with over half reporting concealing their sexual orientation and/or gender identity to avoid intimidation.

DIVAS OF DIVERSITY is presented by an unforgettable cast member from the hit show RuPaul’s Drag Race. The divas are putting on their heels to entertain and educate. The event provides the opportunity for college students to have a platform to embrace their differences and celebrate diversity--all while having a great time!

The Talent shares their story of discrimination and acceptance, two powerful drag show performances and always time for questions and answers. The performance will have the audience on their feet and it’s easy to see why they are the best in the country!

Hope’s Voice provides the GET CONNECTED handout, GET FEEDBACK survey and a glossy electronic promotional kit. The kit is a fantastic tool to promote the event and bring awareness to the campus and community.

Hope’s Voice offers the opportunity to book the DRAG 101 and/or DIVA FOR A DAY workshops with DIVAS OF DIVERSITY.  The workshops are entertaining and will have the participants finding their inner diva.

DIVAS OF DIVERSITY encourages college students to come together to be educated, inspired and to create a conversation on their campus and in their community that embraces and supports diversity.
