ABOUT
OUR MISSION
Hope’s Voice educates, inspires, empowers, and challenges stigma through the production and presentation of innovative educational lectures, events, print and media campaigns. We are driven by inspiring, relevant, real and often misunderstood stories of hope.
THE HISTORY OF HOPE’S VOICE
Hope’s Voice was created to redefine the way we look and talk about HIV and AIDS. The agency recognized that young people today are paying the price for fear based campaigns that have dominated the last 25 years of the response and lack the personal connection that is needed in order to see themselves at risk for HIV.
GOALS
To provide programs, educational lectures, events and campaigns that reach the hearts and minds of our audiences.
We strive to, and inspire our community to;
* be part of the solution by ending the stigma and discrimination against those living with HIV or AIDS
* To educate the general public about HIV/AIDS while reducing stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS
* Help young people living with HIV or AIDS know they are not alone, by creating messaging and a community with young people living positively with HIV
* To provide a personal connection by sharing the realities of those living with the disease
* To encourage people to know their HIV status, so they can take control of their health
* To provide the skills and tools for young leaders to make a difference and show the world that we are living, not dying with HIV or AIDS
